Fantastic Days

Image
We had two fantastic days for Open Gardens. The weather really couldn't have been better, the England Men's Football Team won their World Cup match and, of course, the gardens looked lovely! The money is being counted and visitor figures finalised but we have been really delighted with the amount of keen gardeners in and around Cotgrave. Thanks again to our sponsors: Thomas James Estate Agents for the signage, County Councillor Richard Butler and Borough Councillor Christine Jefferies for sponsoring our print and insurance costs, and to the Cotgrave Town Council for their additional financial support. We couldn't have done it without you! We will let you know how much we raised for Ashlea School when the last coins have been counted! Thanks again for coming along. here's some photos of the day, taken by Ash Brown Photography .

Countdown to Open Gardens

Image
Yes, there's exactly one month to go before Cotgrave sees it's first Open Gardens event on 23/24th June 2-6pm . We have a total of 14 gardens opening over the two days, and for £2.50 per adult you can see as many gardens as you like over both days! We have a real mix of gardens from small to large, made by experienced or fairly new gardeners. One thing is for sure, none of them have been part of an Open Gardens trail before. So for the next month we will be trimming and planting, pruning and sowing all in readiness for the big weekend. The committee will be at Cotgrave Festival just the weekend before, come and say hello and pick up a map of the gardens while you're at it.
